How It All Started...
Back in 2015, Chris Yi also known as Chrismon took the courage to follow his dream of becoming a popular gaming content creator. He would fantasize creating videos much like Vanossgaming, Mindcrack, and Smosh and becoming an online sensation. Those creators gave him inspiration and showed him that he can enjoy his passion for video games and make it into a lifestyle. It didn’t take long for Chris Yi to come up with the name Chrismon. He drew inspiration from Pokemon and combined it with his name due to his resemblance to Ash Ketchum.
What Are His Videos Like?
Throughout the years, he has documented his gameplay on FIFA, League of Legends, and Overwatch. His videos can be described as a collection of slipits of his gameplay with a voiceover talking about his current situation, girl troubles, or the gameplay itself. As you watch his videos you’ll notice that his voice was made for commentary. Chris Yi also welcomes his friends into his videos and makes the viewers feel as though they’re playing with him. His witty dry humor coupled with the fun environment created from playing with his friends makes the perfect cocktail to entertain just about anyone.
Chrismon loves to experiment with his work and find new ways to entertain his viewers. He has dedicated his time to upload quality videos throughout the past 8 years – showing determination to continue to pursue his dreams. Through gaming, he became a part of the gaming community meeting larger content creators such as TJ Hall and realized he can utilize his skills of editing and videography and collaborate with them.
What's Next?
Chris can be described as a creative mind that expresses himself in the hobbies he enjoys as he is currently pursuing a media production degree at Temple University which stemmed from editing youtube videos. Chrismon has intentions to join a content house mainly focused on gaming after college. He is a free spirit that has chosen to pursue what truly fulfills him. Something that anyone can learn from Chris is that he doesn’t view what may be considered dreams to others… as dreams, but rather sees it as a goal.
